Southtown Motors in Hoover tries very hard to get the best value for our customers. We also know that you get what you pay for in this business. We work very hard for our customers and truly want you to be happy with your purchase. We offer clean, reliable cars at competitive prices. We do not sell salvaged, rebuilt or flood damaged vehicles. We do our best to fairly and accurately describe our inventory. That being said, please keep in mind that you are purchasing a pre-owned vehicle.
 
There may be some normal wear and tear associated with the vehicle’s age, including but not limited to some of the following issues: dings, dents, scratches, rock chips, wheel scuffs, painted bumpers, previous paintwork, body work, incomplete required maintenance, wear of leather seats and steering wheels, carpets, fading on door handles and trim, unmatched tires, missing manuals, floor mats, spare keys, and the list goes on.
 
We try very hard to describe these items, however it is a human process and our opinions may vary. Please ask us to do a “walk-around” the car for you so that we can thoroughly describe anything that may be a major concern to you.
 
These vehicles are machines and are pre-owned. Scratches, dings, dents and scuffs are normal and should be expected.  We professionally inspect all vehicles and correct imperfections that we believe to be appropriate. Therefore, some vehicles may have paint or body work even though they have never been involved in an accident. Some vehicles may have accident history listed on their CarFax or AutoCheck reports. Some cars may have a clean, accident free CarFax and AutoCheck could show an accident. These reports are a great tool, but their accuracy is dependent on the circumstances, as well as the drivers involved. 
 
It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to have their vehicle thoroughly inspected to satisfy his or herself as to the condition, value and disposition of the vehicle. We will gladly assist you in having your vehicle inspected by an independent third party of your choice. Any costs associated with such an inspection are the full responsibility of the buyer. In the event that you elect to purchase a vehicle without any inspection, Southtown Motors in Hoover assumes no liability or responsibility for any repairs, service or miscellany needed.
 
Many of our vehicles will still be covered under a manufacturer’s warranty at the time of sale. WE INCLUDE A 12 MONTH / 12,000 MILES, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST, POWERTRAIN ONLY WARRANTY ON ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AT ASKING PRICE" OR UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED ON ALL VEHICLES 10 YEARS FROM THE CURRENT YEAR AND WITH LESS THAN 125,000 MILES.Southtown Motors in Hoover conveys the remainder of it’s inventory AS-IS. If a franchise dealer decides not to cover an item under the factory warranty, that battle will be fought between the buyer and the manufacturer. You will be able to call their Customer Care Department to plead your case. Southtown Motors in Hoover neither makes nor implies any full warranty on this or any other vehicle. We suggest whenever you purchase a pre-owned vehicle, not just from us, that you contact a manufacturing dealership to verify remaining warranty coverage for your vehicle, as well as to check for any open recall (campaign) issues.
Please be sure to ask our Finance Manager to prepare a quote for an extended service contract if this is an area of concern for you.
 
Please remember that you may need to spend some additional money on your vehicle to have it running and looking in tip-top condition. Pre-owned vehicles and their manufacturer’s have their own inherent flaws. Also, because a portion of our inventory consists of off-lease vehicles, we do not guarantee extra keys, floor mats, owner’s manuals, navigation discs or jacks. We simply cannot stress this enough! Please do not be surprised to spend a little extra money on your new pre-owned vehicle. If you need to include these costs in with your financing, we will be happy to assist.
 
We prepare your vehicle for safety, check fluids for proper levels and ensure that oil changes are up to date; however we do not perform maintenance such as transmission fluid changes or flushes, alignments, tune-ups, etc. If we have performed any maintenance, we will say so. We will not be responsible for any warning lights, check engine lights, ABS lights or SRS lights. Once your vehicle leaves our lot, we will not be responsible for any diagnostic trouble codes.
 
Please keep in mind that it is ultimately your responsibility to make sure that the vehicle you choose is in a condition that is suitable and agreeable to you. Vehicles are a major purchase and we recommend that you invest not only your money, but your time and energy to research your vehicle to ensure that you will be satisfied with the condition of your new pre-owned vehicle.
